Host institution: Nordic Institute for Studies in Innovation, Research and Education (NIFU) Objectives: This STSM aims to advance the present understanding of differences in SSH publication patterns across COST countries where a national database is established. It is envisioned to achieve this aim by conducting a cross-country comparison of SSH research outcomes using basic SSH indicators (e.g., the share of monographs, the share of non-English publications). Activities will include:

  • Analysis of data collected during the European survey with basic indicators “Cross-country differences in social sciences and humanities publishing patterns”.
  • Development of methodology for bibliometric cross-country comparisons of SSH research using national data.

Results: One or more publications as well as establishment of new collaboration(s) (or development of the existing ones) between NIFU and the STSM applicant’s organisation.

Special criteria for this STSM: preferably the applicant has access to and is familiar with the data infrastructure in their own country or region.
